The zinc blocks harmful sun rays that cause sun burns, and the beeswax gives it water-repelling qualities (though like any lotion, more frequent application is necessary when swimming). It has a whipped, creamy texture that feels soothing!
Like any zinc-based lotion, it goes on white but can be rubbed in so it's less visible!
